Project Description

Tucked away in South Austin, two miles from downtown, The South 5th is a LEED certified community of 36 residences. Each unit has a large private roof top deck giving views of the Greenbelt and downtown Austin.

TDI Engineering, LLC designed the civil site plan to maximize units counts while protecting several beautiful trees. Underground detention was utilized under  the parking and under the building footprint. TDI also provided the structural design for the reinforced concrete buildings. The concrete walls were designed as portal frames to minimize barriers inside of the units and to allow for a maximum amount of exterior openings.
