TDI Engineering, LLC and Noble Surveying and Engineering Works, LLC Merge
TDI Engineering, LLC and Noble Surveying and Engineering Works, LLC are excited to announce a merger of the two firms.
TDI Engineering, LLC provides Civil and Structural Engineering services with offices in Austin and Houston. Originally founded in 2005 by Jeff Cloyd, P.E., Roger Meredith, P.E., and Jeff Shindler, P.E. as Texas Design Interests, LLC, the company was rebranded in 2018 as TDI Engineering, LLC.
Says Shindler, “We realized we had outgrown the name. As the company matured, we found ourselves doing projects all over the nation, and in some cases outside the continental United States. We came to realize the original name no longer represented an accurate reflection of the company and our capabilities. Coupled with the completed construction of our new office building in Austin, it was a great opportunity to re-imagine the company.”
Noble Surveying and Engineering Works, LLC was founded by Tres Howland, P.E. in 2007. Specializing in Land Development Civil Engineering services, Noble provides Civil Engineering services to a broad range of local and national developers.
“The fit between the two companies is very natural. Many of the team members at each firm have worked together in the past. Our two firms share very similar philosophies regarding providing exceptional customer service and quality engineering designs,” Howland said.
The combined firm will operate under the TDI Engineering, LLC name, with Howland taking on an equity position at TDI as a Principal and Director of Civil Engineering. The Austin division of the company will continue to operate at TDI’s current Austin office at 5906 Old Fredericksburg Road, with Noble employees relocating there.
The TDI/Noble merger results in a firm of approximately 30 civil and structural engineering professionals, with licenses to provide engineering services in 34 states.
“A big factor in the decision to merge was our employees,” explained Howland. “By combining firms, we are creating a critical mass of expertise that will help fuel the development of our staff, especially the younger employees. Both firms are fortunate to have a strong senior staff with an incredible depth of knowledge in our field.”
Future plans include an expansion of the Houston office. TDI has recently signed a lease for a new office space in Houston that will accommodate the addition of 10 employees there. Currently providing primarily Structural Engineering services in the Houston market, TDI will look to expand their Houston presence in the Civil Engineering sector.
